Everything very hot-dry here, farm commentator on local radio station is comparing it to 1954 or even 1936. I barely remember 1954, do remember going with Dad in the old REO Speedwagon to extreme S IL to get a big load of corn in September, I would have been 4-1/2.
I'm the same age as you and grew up in Alabama. I don't remember heat like this, ever. The people who deny the science of global warming will be the first ones to turn to science to save them once they decide that this is for real. But science can't reverse global warming once it has happened. Too bad for all of us.
I think God has the plan and me buying an electric car isnt going to change his mind.
From looking at the highs over the last hundred years or so, it doesn't look like it has changed all that much Around here.

The only daily highs I see for 2000 til now has been less than 100.
I remember some much hotter summers and much colder winters back in the early 80s than I have ever seen since.
I remmember in the early 50's when the temp got to 109 and stayed in the 100's for several days in a row here in middle TN.
And I also remmember summers when it didn't even get to 100. The Globe warms and the Globe cools and has been doing that since the creation of this Globe. Science ain't got nothing to do with it.

Looking at that seems like Globle Warming done come and gone. :-D
But the newly minted "scientists" have to come up with something to justify those government (taxpayer funded) grants!
