Title: New parasite attacking honey bees.
Post by: Javin on July 25, 2012, 11:57:49 AM
Since we didn't have anything else to worry about, now there's apparently a fly that targets honey bees and lays eggs in them.  And it's super aggressive:

Crap! Not again.

They found a parasitic fly that was reported by this same person back in January. Here is a link: http://news.yahoo.com/zombie-fly-parasite-killing-honeybees-230200867.html (http://news.yahoo.com/zombie-fly-parasite-killing-honeybees-230200867.html)

Funny how we discussed this back 7 months ago, and I commented that researchers and bee labs would be lining up for grants and seeking funds to do fly research. Oh wait.....this is what this article is all about.  ;)

Never mind.
