I have neighbor with bees in ground under landscape fabric about honey bee size but yellow jacket color what are they and how do I get rid of them they are in flower garden so I have to be carefull not to kill plants . Second there is also some bees that look like small honey bees on flowers are these honey bees or something else I can get at entrance hole to bees in ground without bothering other bees .so something I could put in hole would be best.thanks much
A cup of gasoline poured down the hole at night is something I would never recommend. EPA would have a fit. Besides that, the fumes would kill all the inhabitants of the nest if the gas wasn't lit. If lit, it would just burn off the top and leave the nest safe under ground.
I agree with wally! The small bees are probably sweat bees...5000 species in the US.

This has to be the best post I have ever read. I know a man (deceased now) who was going to show me how to do this. He used a cane pole to mark the entrance. He just slid it across the ground during the daytime until it was right at the entrance so that it would be easier to find in the dark.
I like to mix some gas and diesel in a sprayer. Spray as you get there and down the hole. You can lite later.
