Title: Honeybee Rodeo
Post by: Richard on August 11, 2012, 01:50:56 AM
I caught this on video today.  This is one tough little bee...she survived, the cow ant died.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did seeing it live.   :bee:

It lived after stinging it?    Really great video.  Made me smile.

Anything that messes with a Cow Killer ant and walks away is tough in my book.

Allen....I don't think she ever penetrated the hide of the cow ant.  As gentle as they are for me, they sure didn't waste any time pouncing on that intruder.  As soon as he went around to the front of the hive, it was game on.    If you listen real close, you can hear her yelling .....YEE ~HAW!   After it ran off squealing I squished it like a hive beetle.
