Sadly I'be seen stuff similar to that when people have said their computer is dragging lately. That is a great photo example John!!
And every one of those tool bars record data so they can 'prefetch" for you when you type in a search word.

On a side note,I was listening to a tech program the other day and they said removing the java program was a good idea unless you have software that needs it. Spyware hijacks Java very easily.Only certain games use java for the most part. They recommend uninstalling it and only put it back in if you have software that requires it .
However,do not remove java script from your web browser.
I have removed it and had not had any software I'm running say I needed it.
