A friend dropped his extractor off to have my bees clean it up, and they ignored it for days. I took it to another yard, and they were all over it within minutes. Any ideas why?
Back in the spring with the flow going good, I put a few supers that had just extracted out about 40 ft in front of hive, it was a few days before they messed with them. When I extracted the start of Aug. I put the super close to 100 yard away and they were all over them with in minutes. May be what they have to forage on. good luck

Maybe the extractor was used to extract this lost bucket of honey?

Maybe your bees are not looking for a free handout.
