2 weeks ago I peeked in my hive while refreshing sugar syrup supply and saw the marked queen that I installed in July. Yesterday I did a complete hive check and found a queen but she isnt marked.
I assume this is a new queen.?
If it is a new queen, does it present any issues this late in the season?
If she has been mated, no. If she has not mated and you have no drowns around then you may have a big problem. The bees will get rid of a non-producing queen. Keep looking for your marked queen, she may still be in there. -Mike
The big question is: did you see any eggs or new larvae? If so you probably have a mother daughter hive. Not a bad thing to have.

Did you completely look at everything? No chance the marked queen is still there with a daughter queen? It does happen.
If you have eggs at all, there is a bred queen.
Like sawdustmakr said, two queens is not a bad thing to have.
If both queens are mated ??? ??? the hive will be OK
BEE HAPPY Jim 134 :)
They could have cleaned the mark off her too!
