Title: Sugar price drop?

I just bought sugar for 27 cents a pound. At Hornbachers in Moorhead Mn. Has there been any changes in the marketing or something I havent heard about? I drive beet truck but havent heard any news. Harold

That is interesting.  I would have expected sugar prices to go up along with the other crops due to the drought.  They grow a LOT of sugar beets in Michigan.  We suffered from the heat this year like everybody else, but we did have enough rain to prevent total losses.  Maybe less people are eating candy bars; leaving more sugar for the bees  :)

AllenF, that explains it a little, but I was paying 71 cents a couple months ago.
