 I'd like  someone to give me any advice on my hive. (I'M obviously a beginner)It is fall and I know that the queen slows down but its still fairly warm here in asheville NC and I seen maybe 5 capped brood and 3 uncapped. Is this much of a slow down normal? I Seen queen cells mid september. I was full of honey and brood. In one month honey only remains at the edges.. no brood. If I am queenless can I requeen now? so late in the season. Will my sweet bees make it through winter? I seen a couple hive beetles set traps caught them and no longer see them. No moths, or other icky things. My bees are still bringing in pollen.. I have a few more pics.

Only 3 uncapped brood cells in the whole hive?    Check it again, look for eggs.

From your pictures, looks like you sure didn't have very many bees in there.
We all end up losing some in the beginning. It's all part of the learning process.

Just plan on getting more in the spring. You already have a home built for them.  :th_thumbsupup:
I have relatives close to you in Arden.

 Thank you so much for your kind support.. Really warmed me up a bit.. It is discouraging loosing your babies.. But I'm so excited to start new and really put all winters studying and dreaming to work.. Thank you so much :laugh:

If you had feral bees around or a stronger hive you could have had a robbing situation develop.
They can devastate a weak hive.
I had to install entrance reducers on some hives and feed with syrup using the baggie system.
All of mine have made it so far.
