Title: Greetings from Houston!
Post by: mmmooretx on November 28, 2012, 11:10:40 PM
Just started beekeeping in June with Italian hygienic hybrids in a 5 frame NUC.  That was split into 2 more NUCs end of August and all are healthy in double deep Langs.    The donor hive is back up to near capacity, Nov. 2012, and the other two are doing quite well, one better than the other.  I also rescued a feral hive of gentle bees that are in a NUC that I hope makes it through the winter.  I have two packages of bees on order for April that I am going to install into all med. super 10 frame Langs.  I think 6 hives will be enough for now.  Really enjoying beekeeping and the people involved with it.  Just recently got interested in the hives and bee houses in Slovenia.  Very nice being able to not lift 70 lb. 10 frame deeps and sit in a chair doing maintenance!
