Title: Newbee from Piggabeen Australia
Post by: Toga on December 06, 2012, 03:24:33 AM
Hi All,

Im a newbee to bee's, though have always loved honey.
Home is Piggabeen Valley NSW Australia located on the NSW /Queensland border.
Ive been into permaculture for a while and have a nice aquaponics system... attempting to be as self sufficient as possible.
Whilst helping a friend clean up a newly purchased property I have located a rather large bee hive in a derelict shed. As soon as you walk in you can smell the intense perfume of honey. The hive covers approximately 15 square feet completely engulfing one of the internal walls from floor to ceiling. I would like to make suitable hives to relocate them to, as the shed is to be demolished.
Im keen to learn this age old art and look forward to learning from & sharing with you all.

Cheers
Joe
