Title: New from Central Florida
Post by: Jwhatman on January 14, 2013, 11:08:56 PM
I just started beekeeping.  Can't wait for Spring.  Ordered my bees and have my equipment.  Family thinks it's weird I want to have bees, but I've always found them fascinating.  I also have a bat box, no bats yet, just because I find them interesting.  Love this site.  Al ton of info here.  Thank you all.

I live in Ormond Beach.  My first attempt at beekeeping and I am so excited.  Beekeeping seems to satisfy my need to learn about biology and the sciences.  The more I learn about bees the more intrigued I get.  I'm not going into this for the honey, or to expand, etc.  If and when I do it's a plus.  I am doing this for the sheer pleasure and knowledge I'll get from learning about these amazing insects.  I appreciate any and all info.  I am currently looking for any beekeeping classes around the area, as well as beekeeping clubs.
Thanks again,
Joyce
