My brother in-law is trying to help out some folks in Jewel, KS. They need someone to remove a colony of bees, and of course he pipes up and says he knows a beekeeper, his brother in-law, me! :-D
I live to far away, but I wish I lived closer so I could get them myself.
I haven't seen it in person, but this is what I know. The hive is located inside of some concrete steps. It may be a trap out situation if they are not accessible. They don't care about the steps but would rather not have to spray the bees, and would like them out as soon as possible. So I am hoping someone on this forum lives close or knows of someone close that would be up for the challenge. Let me know and I will get you in touch with them, or get more details.
Thanks,
Ron
Send the price of a round trip airline ticket from Central Alabama to his local airport and I will be there tommrow.
You're 34 miles closer than I am...
272 miles for me... that's about 225 more than I do for a cut out. Trap out?, no way unless it's local. You might try http://www.nekba.org/. (http://www.nekba.org/.)
Probably Yellow Jackets if they are living under cement steps on the ground.
Course there is a shortage of trees out there.
If it's on a farm and they can wait till Pheasant season, I might be interested. :-D
