Neat!
well packed too... must be good stuff
My bees have been bringing it in, too - I understand that it's red maple pollen.
Nice. We have lots of red male but I have never seen blue pollen down here.
Jim

Although that's very nice and somewhat helpful it doesn't have any blue pollen listed. It must be a brilliant blue flower. It's beautiful for sure.

Photoshop
From the pollen chart (David, it's listed about half way down the page, on the flowers and annuals list), it looks like the blue pollen might be from a Siberian Squill ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siberian_squill (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siberian_squill) ). I never knew that any flowers had blue pollen. That's really amazing!
Simon
Cool Simon. You're probably right. Check out the pollen in this photo from Wikipedia

Never seen any blue pollen but my girls are bringing in green.

Very exciting to see (especially since there was snow on the ground overnight). The whole family was out crouched around the hive! Reminds me of some kind of bubble gum.

The blue pollen comes from an early spring flower called Siberian Squill aka Scilla Siberica or Wood Squill.
