Hello all, I'm on my information gathering quest before kitting up during winter ready for spring in September. I've always been interested in the notion of having my own hives but never done anything about it, so this is the year. So I look forward to gleaning some wisdom & advise from you all.
Regards
Jason
Hello and welcome, Jason. It sounds so odd for me to hear someone talk about spring in September! Here in Alabama, our spring usually starts around March-April. :-D There is loads of information and wonderful people here to help. Come back often! David

Welcome to the forum. There are a number of bee clubs around Brisbane depending whereabouts you are located and generally they will offer local advice and have a library available for members.

Hi Kevin I'm in Camp Hill, will have to look them up.
Thanks

Good luck with the bees.

So I finaly have got all my supers, frames, lids built. I thought that the easiest way to get some bees was to buy a hive of a mate of mine, so three days in and the're all going well bringing in lots and lots of pollen. No beetles yet thank goodness unlike my mates place on the other side of the city, who has heaps beetels flying in. Look forward to getting inside soon for a look to see what I've got. Exciting!
