Title: SHB ?
Post by: alfred on May 05, 2013, 12:28:57 PM

Found this sucker in one of my hives during spring inspection. I have decided that it is not SHB. I thought that it would be a good idea to get confirmation though. I don't even think that we get them here but I figured it wouldn't hurt to double check.

Thanks for any input,
Alfred

Ditto on not SHB.   Maybe a stink bug?

Yep, not SHB. If it were it would have friends. SHB's are a little more rounded and about 1/8 to 3/16 inch in diameter. Demons from hell.

Thanks for the confirmations. I didn't think that it was one, but I did freak a little just to see any beetle kind of thing in the hive.
