Title: hive check tomorrow..what do I look for
Post by: Carol on May 22, 2013, 09:17:45 AM
My bees have been in the hive about 70 days. I have one deep mostly brood. Last check they were building in medium. At this point, when I check them tomorrow...what should I see. They are foundationless.

More drawn comb, more eggs, more brood, more room to draw more comb, and no active swarm or supercedure cells.  If you don't see all of that make adjustments to do so.

With foundationless, make sure they are building comb as you want them to build it; correct ASAP if they are not.
