Title: Cicada Killer Wasp
Post by: Carol on June 03, 2013, 11:11:47 AM
I've saw these around the yard last year. This morning I saw a large wasp in front of the hive. Glad I didn't use the wider entrance...they may not have kept it out. It took off before I could kill it. I think this is what I saw. Is it a threat to the hive?

I have a lot of them in my yard.  I've never seen them bother the bees.

I've captured a few hanging around on my pallets. Never saw them eating any bees yet.
I had to run home and figure out if they were a problem too.
