Title: pollen formulae to feed bees in winter.
Post by: Better.to.Bee.than.not on June 09, 2013, 11:01:49 PM
Was watching Alaska : The last frontier and they sealed up their hives, insulated them with styrofoam, and put bail of hay against them for the winter, but then they brought out a pollen feed they made evidently, which has molasses in it they mentioned......anyone know what recipe they use to make it? They do everything themselves up there, surely making it themselves too. Any ideas?

Hmm....seems there was talk about alaska already. If they can over winter, I'm thinking there might be some good tips for michigan surely.
