Title: Varroa Mites. Not if but, when?
Post by: Billybee on June 26, 2013, 08:28:10 PM
Are varroa mites something that is going to happen for sure in all hives at some point in the game?

Do some hives not get them?

all hives are not only going to get them but already have them probably. They are everywhere in the world except a few places really, and the US isn't one of them. best to learn about management early.

The trick is to get bees that have the genetics to be able to remove the larva with mites from the cells and remove them from each other.

They came with them...

In North America (and most of the rest of the world), they all already have them.
