Title: Carport Closet Cutout
Post by: rwurster on June 28, 2013, 09:31:20 PM
First cutout of the year.  It went pretty well other than dealing with the brand new comb.  I was able to salvage all the brood but rolled the queen when the last piece of brood comb collapsed :(

Strange place for a beehive. Thanks for sharing.

The tenants at this house actually moved a ton of garbage out of the way so I could get to the hive.  They were enclosed in a small void (bags and boxes surrounding them) hence the strange location.  Getting free bees always makes my day even though I had to sweat it out in 105 degrees.  I took my camera with me to  document this cutout as I was working for a real estate company.  Good times! :)
