Do all the bees leave the hive as some point during the day to relieve themselves? I wondered if they were included in the orientation flights. It seems to be a large rotation of bees coming and going at that time.
>Do all the bees leave the hive as some point during the day
During the winter they often can't leave for six months. "at some point during the day"? No. Sooner or later? Yes.
ya Michael is obviously right. bees do not defecate in the hive, ever. but they do not necessarily go out for cleansing flights each day, either.
Actually I shouldn;t of said ever, anyone whose hives have gotten sick will know that ain't true.
