Title: queen introduction
Post by: gdog on July 26, 2013, 03:16:39 PM
This is a queen introduction picture from today they were introducted last night. Any comments on how you think the other bees are reacting to her?

what I want to do is get her released in the next few days and add two other queenless hives to this hive. by doing a newspaper combination.

to those of you with more experiance than I can I get your input on this?

the last picture is of bees cleening up the frames after they were spun out.

I like the newspaper combine plan better than your shake out plan.  They look like they're feeding her but  another day isn't going to hurt.
I just checked 4 hives I re-queen end Monday and had to release one.  The others were out in about 48 hours.  They have all been accepted.
That's a good picture.  Did you get that with a phone camera?

Thanks for the info. The picture was taken with my D90 camera. These bees are very calm from the time of the cut out till now. Too bad I missed the queen
