Title: Bumble bee entered the hive
Post by: Jackam on August 09, 2013, 01:19:15 PM
I was sitting there watching my hive entrance and saw a bumble bee come nosing around. To my surprise, the bumble bee went right on in and disappeared!
I got on my hands and knees and looked in but did not see the bumblebee. After a moment, the fight was on! There there 3 or 4 bees vehemently wrestling it and they got it back to the entrance where one bee grabbed it and took flight, carrying it off!

This was exciting! i wonder what the heck this thing thought it was doing!!!!

Robbers may go inside but they meet their destiny on combs.

Jackam - I found that getting on your hands and knees around a beehive is a good way to get stung - (not that it's stopped me)

I had a bumble go into one of my hives this spring. I didn't know what to do, but I knew the odds we're not in the bumble's favor. Sure enough, it was laying dead outside the hive the next morning.
