I'm a real newby. Halfway through the local county beekeeper class, have ordered a couple of packages and am awaiting delivery of hives and frames.

welcome to thwe forum. Where are you located. Go to the Profile tab and update your location. When you ask a question, the purpose of this site, it helps to know where you are to provide a better answer.

Welcome to the forum and beekeeping. :cheer: If you change your profile from hopelessly lost to your town and state (NC), it will help us better at helping you. If you are taking classes thru a local bee club, ask if they have a mentoring program. A good mentor will help you avoid a lot of problems. If not with a club, you might consider joining one.
