Title: Nebraska "newbee"
Post by: MayBee on February 18, 2014, 11:55:26 AM
Hi all! I'm new to bees. Hopping on here for more information and ideas. I will be getting bees next year as it is too late to think about starting this year. Looking forward to lots of info. :)

Welcome. Ask any questions you like, That is what we are here for.

If you change your profile to your town and State we might better answer your questiond. You might also look into local beekeeper clubs.    Mike

If you are ready, and can't find any bees, you may in your local bee club.  You can also catch some swarms.  If not may you get some next year, and that will give more time to learn things.  You will learn a lot when you do get your bees.   There maybe someone you can help and learn from in your area also.  Good luck

Joe

You might want to narrow your location down at least to Eastern, Central or Panhandle of Nebraska.  I've had bees in the panhandle and am now in Southeast Nebraska and the climates are very different...

I added the Nebraska to their profile.  Hopefully they will come back and elaborate. :)
