I'm on the removal list and we did get a call last year. I don't have my spring equipment ready yet and will probably be several weeks until I can get that done. So... I know my bees are flying most days, I have lots of capped brood and pollen coming in. When do the swarms and cut out calls usually start? I don't even know if I want anymore bees at this point. I have 5 hives and they are coming into spring strong so I expect to have to split some soon too.
It can start anytime after you start seeing drones in significant numbers.

I live 50 miles east of you and I made a few splits yesterday with swarm cells I found while inspecting the bees. I think they're going to star most any time now.
Homestead what list are you referring too?

The list on this website. You can sign up so people can call you if they have a swarm they want removed. Last year we got a call late in the year of africanized bees LOL. They were just regular bees that marched right into the box after we clipped the queen. Hasn't been the best hive so far but it was late. I just gave them two combs of brood and a frame of honey to see if she is worth keeping. Otherwise I'm going to make a new queen out of my super layer hive. (of course to me she's a super layer to others maybe not but she seems to lay alot with a good pattern)

I am not sure how often the update gets done, but i'll check with Eivind.
I had heard the county Extension office on Paul Russell rd use to keep a swarm list but when I called about it, the person had no idea what I was taking about.
