Title: Hello from northeast ohio!
Post by: newbee2013 on March 07, 2014, 10:23:39 AM
My kids got me started on beekeeping last mothers day. I have really enjoyed it so far! Didn't get any honey last fall and they swarmed on me twice! Haha! But, thats ok, I learned alot. They have survived the crazy winter! I am going to open the hive and inspect today, its supposed to reach about 50. Looking forward to a better year!

Welcome to the forum, sending some good luck your way! 50F is great weather compared to what we've had this winter.  :th_thumbsupup:

Watch ya don't overfeed this year and limit the space for the queen to lay. It can induce a swarm pretty quickly if the hive is congested.

Welcome to the forum.   :cheer:

Are there any bee keepers clubs near you? Many have a mentoring program that should really help out.  -Mike
