Title: Hi from Lufkin Texas
Post by: mookytx on March 29, 2014, 10:58:33 AM
Hello everybody.
I bought two hives this year and filled one with a feral bee hive I took out of a water meter.  The other hive is empty but hope to fill it with another feral swarm.  Ever since I was in high school I have been interested in bee keeping but it took 35 years to decide to just do it. This has been a learning experience for sure. I am reading books and every bee forum I come across to learn not to kill or run off my bees.  I like to garden and do it organically so I decided to raise my bees as naturally as possible also.
If anyone is in east Texas and has some advice I will be all ears.
Thanks
Kenneth

Welcome to the site.  I am a little South of you but not far enough to make much of difference concerning bees. This is a great place to learn.

Welcome to the forum, Ken.  There are lots of friendly people here, and if you have any questions, just give em a post, someone will usually help with an answer.  Good luck to you and your bees.

Joe
