Title: Hello from The East Texas Pineywoods
Post by: rambotex on May 05, 2014, 03:06:33 PM
Hello,

I'm entertaining the thought of Beekeeping/Honey.

I have 39 acres, sandy soil. 1/2 timber and 1/2 pasture. I don't know a thing about beekeeping but am going to do some research. Any advice would be welcome.

Welcome to the forum, rambotex.  There are lots of videos and threads here that can help.  You should also join your local bee club.  They may have a mentoring program.  Bees will go up to three miles for pollen and nectar.  The amount of honey you would have depends on the availability of nectar in your area.
