Just worked off night shift an was kicked back trying to shake off the night shift fog. I was checking over the beemaster post and my wife walks in and said there are thousands of bees around that bee box you left in front of the shed. I had unloaded a box of foundation or two and laid them next to the building. I was thinking I don't remember lying a honey super with them. I replied hundreds or thousands, She said thousands. I laughed and said sure probably a few hundred. I walked out side and well......

I didn't even consider the old equipment I had stored behind the building. I guess I should never doubt her when she says thousands :jawdrop: Never had a swarm here in the neghborhood. I did try and keep a couple hives here from the start but it didn't work out with the neighbors or shb. I had a couple abscond that was in 05. My bee yard is 1/2 mile across the way.
That is pretty awesome! I have 2 swarm traps out and the only bees around it are robbers.
Some people have all the luck :-D
I put out swarm traps hoping for some action and nothing.... I'm not giving up hope yet though.
BTW everyone knows wives are always RIGHT
Looks like they're just moving in. That's what I call good fortune. Hope they do well.
sc-bee, fantastic!!! The accidental swarm trapper!!!!! :-D Nice accident!!! ;)
Have you already moved them to your yard?

Naw, my bees are 1/2 mile as the crow flies and I have had my share of swarms the last ten years.
