What would be the best way to store frames of drawn brood comb and honey for a month or so for later use with splits? I have a large deep freeze with extra space. What kind of cleanup should I do to them before storing them?
I also have a super mostly full of (sugar syrup) honey that I want to clean out before the flow starts this spring. Can I just scrape the caps and set them out in the beeyard on a warm day to let them be robbed?

In New Jersey? In February or March? The wax moths usually don't seem to be a problem until June or later. As long as you keep the mice out they will do fine. You can just stack them up sealed well outside if you like. The freezer wont' hurt but isn't necessary. ESPECIALLY when it's still freezing sometimes at night.
