Why do bees prefer swiming pool water to nautural water. I have an endless supply and it is closer than the swiming pool.

Chlorine and salt. Plus they drink from the edge of wet, right where wet meets dry.

I have heard bees prefer water with a scent to it, be it pool water or a puddle in a bunch of cow manure.  Apparently makes it easy for them find it??
