Title: Tallow bloom
Post by: Chanticleer48 on May 31, 2014, 08:38:49 PM
The Chinese Tallow trees in my yard and area are blooming and my girls are hitting them hard.  What does Tallow honey taste similar to?

Can't say on the taste, but some of the commercial beeks here say they can make a living on Chinese Tallow, popcorn trees.  I have this week seen some starting to grow the buds to some almost ready for the bees.  You cam make a lot of honey from it if you have many trees.  Good luck to you and your bees.   I have just a few that are blooming for the first time.
