Title: First Swarm Call of the Season in W IL
Post by: Sour Kraut on June 03, 2014, 09:37:23 AM
Was beginning to think the cold winter had killed off every wild colony in this part of the state.

Finally, yesterday, got a call for a 2-pound swarm in a small maple tree.

Put 5 frames, 2 with a bit of left-over honey, in a nuc box, shook them in, all was well @ 7 PM last evening.

so the cycle begins again..........
