Title: A black coloured robber with one yellow strip on it.
Post by: BumbbleBee on June 08, 2014, 08:41:49 AM
I went to the hive to look at the production of honey after my first harvest on 25th of May. When I placed the inner cap aside, a dark insect about 2 inches long and half-an-inch thick rushed to the inner cap. It had yellow colour around its middle part.

Which robber is that?

My mistake: I had left the wax cell caps removed by my friend near the give for about 10 days, as I had to take my father for post-stroke treatment. The evening I returned, I noticed the same insect eating the wax.
