Title: Hello from SE Montana
Post by: CathyBee on June 08, 2014, 08:36:20 PM
My husband planted the seed about keeping bees about a week ago.  I am terrified and becoming obsessed at the same time.  I haven't even gotten my first hive yet.  This week I am meeting with a local beekeeper and going to tend his hives with him to see if I can really do this.  Hoping for the best!

welcome

Good for you.
if it seams too much
start with a swarm, fewer bees, less intimidating.
easier to manage for a newbee
remember once a week at most.
you'll find that you will look forward to your visits

It is a beautiful moist spring in Montana this year!  Wonderful for the bees.  Enjoy your time with the bees.  They are endlessly fascinating.  Vance
