Title: Does this QC Look Small?
Post by: biggraham610 on June 09, 2014, 09:13:44 AM
This was a queen cell in one of my hives, looks alot smaller than the others I have seen, and had success with this year. Any opinions on if this is big enough to be successful? G  :chop:

I'm not sure there's a direct correlation between the size of the cell and the size of the queen. That being said if I have more than I can deal with I cull the small ones.

I have heard Sue Cobey say that it's not about the size of the cell but more about whether or not she received adequate nutrition.  So, if they fed her well, she should be fine.
