On sunday I opened up my hives to steal some honey and in one I found a huge mess! Most of the foundation in the top super had melted and girls had drawn it out anyway, sticking 4 frames together with comb. This was the only hive of the 10 that has this problem. Should I put a roof over them?

I'm voting yes. Your hive is obviously unable to cool itself enough by itself, and melting their wax isn't obviously a good thing. There is no benefit to having a hot hive at all above just reasonable summer time temps.
Hi Spear,
In Europe you don't have to worry about SHB yet. I'd move them to some shady spot if I could. If for no other reason than so I wouldn't have to work them in full sun.
