i never had great luck with it, but it seems to work best to do it way away from the hives and at dusk.  good luck.  maybe it will work better for you than it did for me.

When using a blower to remove bees from the supers, isn't there always a chance that your queen could be in there? I don't run excluders so my queens could be anywhere in the hive. Also, isn't there a high probability of injuring bees as they are blown off of and from between frames?
