Thomas,
Welcome to the forum.
I would think you are in the best location to find a mentor. I think a lot of the Amish keep bees. Check to see if you have a local bee club. There is a lot of information here on this site.

Welcome to the forum, Thomas. Hope you can find a good mentor and local club.

Welcome to the group. :bee:
I had a nice chat with Thomas on ventrilo tonight. It was quite pleasant talking with a young person aspiring to keep bees. It brings back memories of earlier days chatting with Mici(from Slovenia), Apis629 and Nepenthes.
I live near Adamstown but keep my bees near Morgantown. I'd be glad to let you get hands on and learn a little from my hives if you want.
Good luck Thomas. Glad you have started with bees this early in life. My motto is "read, read, read" and then ask questions. You should find lots of help here. Take care, Paul
I did try to talk to Thomas last night about 9 o'clock and he would not respond maybe next time glad you made it to Ventrilo and to beemaster I do hope to see you again soon on Ventrilo
