Title: How To Test if Honey is Pure
Post by: GSF on July 31, 2014, 08:59:57 AM
Here's a you tube video (2:44) on how to check if the honey is pure. Any comments? Right or Wrong?

Pretty interesting. What did they do to burn it in test #2. Is that a crystallized piece of honey? Looks too white. Is it a paper towel soaked in honey? Not sure what it is.
It would be great if they were all true.
It may bee that sample 1 is very thin honey. Maybe too thin and would ferment if left in the closet.

Being that I have a Honey Bear on my desk:
Test #1 & 3 worked real well with real honey. 2 very easy test to do.
Do not know how to do test #2.

It looks like a twisted up paper towel soaked with honey to me. I will have to try it, too.

I'ma thinking it's cured & uncured, both tests would indicate moisture eh?

yeah........no.  the adulterated honey is ridiculously thin.  i'd say it's literally watered down.
honey adulterated with corn syrup would pass those tests.
