Didn't most of Europe outlaw neonicotinoids?
Jim
Read the article, it addresses that.
i don't think neonics are the problem but i also don't think one good season makes a trend.
we'll have more seasons, and find out surely.
since Bayer like Monsanto has a lot to gain by people believing this I'd take these results with a grain of salt.
this year i have almost no yellowjackets after 2 years of them being thick. bad enough that they took down my hives last year. no one is fussed about that. it's the natural cycle of things, i suspect.
people always want to DO SOMETHING when stuff happens. they always want to identify a bad guy, and these days, any old corporation will usually do...or a bank. your choice.
CCD like occurrences are not new. they predate Bayer, Monsanto, and insecticides. but hey....it's always fun to stir people up with visions of starvation...

As everyone should always do when anything is reported by anyone. Time will tell as Better.to.Bee.than.not pointed out. It is nice to see some good news though.
It does bring one pause as if it was bad news you'd see it heavily on the TV and in the Newspapers. All types of organizations would be wringing their hands, pointing fingers, asking for Govt. funding and coming up with "solutions" that invariably line up with their agenda.
It's good news though, yet it's not widely reported. Interesting....
good news doesn't sell. people like to see a train wreck or a plane crash.
