Title: Greetings from Long Island New York
Post by: WillH on August 19, 2014, 09:32:25 AM
Has been keeping bees for 5 years. Using all 10 frame equipment. Deep for brood and shallow honey. Going to winter with 7 hives. Hopefully they will make it.  Last winter lost 25%. Getting honey apporox. 100 lb per hive. :)

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are doing pretty good with 100 pounds per hive. When I started my father in law told me that that is what he used to get years ago before mites but to expect half of that.
Pulled 1200 pounds from 12 hives last year.
