Title: im looking for a female beekeeping assistant
Post by: eastriverbeesd on August 30, 2014, 06:47:34 PM
Howdy. Im a commercial beekeeper in SD and im looking for a woman around my age (40) that would like to join me in pulling honey and then travel to Florida to raise queens and make splits. Experience is not necessary just physical fitness and a strong midwest/northern plains work ethic :)

I find both replies thus far strange. This is a serious post and i thought the coffee hiuse is a bwtter venue for cutting up.

OK just curious.... are you a male or female beekeeper?

Edited..... I just looked at your profile and it says male. So why are you looking for a female in particular to travel the road with you. A competent male beekeeper would not work. I find that request strange.... I think :? Sorry, maybe my post should have been in the Coffee House but I could not resist it. But I think my questions have been answered .... ( I erased one comment as I did not want the moderator contacting me)  :jawdrop:

Oh and the picture was just meant to be a light hearted joke.... again sorry if I offended...Good Luck in your search.

I see you started in the "coffee house"

Ever seen the commercial for farmers dot com dating service. Maybe you are on to something.....nothing wrong with looking for someone with similar interest.

Steve, I can't believe that you went there. I was thinking this post should be on Match.com or something like that.

I received a "REPORT TO MODERATOR" post from a member, and read this post. I agree, a decade ago this would seem a kin to a creepy guy in a van parked near a school with a "pocketful of candy - just help yourself" and reminds me of "Let's go for a drink... I'll bring the roofies!", but half the commercials out there are matching Christians, Farmers, Straight and Gay people - it is the world we live in.

So where does a single guy who wants to travel doing bee stuff find a match or companion?, I can see how this post could end up here. All I'm gonna say is LADIES this isn't a dating service, nor has resources to profile any member - any contact is of your own free will and NOT endorsed in any way be Beemaster Forums.

Any communication should be done through private messaging and this post will be locked. Future such posts will be removed.

Just note: nowhere were the words "Dating, match, romance, companion or other words implying romance or relationship uttered by the author of the original post - the members replying inferred such terms.
