Hi beekeeper friends,
I have been using Pierco frames for a couple of years. Now I think they need to be scraped and cleaned. And then a coat of wax to be applied.
The wax part I think I know how to do.
However, how do you clean up the old stuff on the frames. I thought about dipping in hot water, but how much heat can the frames stand?
If you have experience with Pierco frames, please give me a bunch of hints..
Thanks for your vhelp.

I clean mine with a 4" angle grinder with a cup brush installed. It will clean them in short order.

After a bit in the deep freeze, the wax will just fall right off with a little rough handling.
I power washed mine didn't reapply wax some the girls used right away some they hesitated on using.
this was done only cause my girls got into some nasty insecticide which killed off two double deep hives in two days
piles of bees 3 inches deep
oh yes to get rid of the insecticide soaked in water for 5 days
scraped them with a five in one tool painters use then power washed
I just put them back in. If they were eaten up by wax moths, I scrape the webs off and put them back in...
