We mow around the hives early in the morning and don't have many problems.
If you use the back yard for family outings often, I would place them as far away as you can.
Seems hairspray and perfume make them curious at times.
Swatting at them and waving your arms will most likely get someone stung too.

yes, yes, yes and mosquitoes I would be more concerned about Ebola
