Title: Moving hives to a new location in the winter
Post by: Tightwad on November 15, 2014, 10:18:33 AM
Hi I'm moving two hives that are in a Valley. It's going to be in the 20s and snow is coming one to two inches.
I have six bales of hay to put around the hives. I am wondering do I still need to put brush in front of the entrance if they come out for orientation. I'm moving the high around 7 miles.

no need for that.....but

Make sure you do something about the mice you may attract with that nice winter habitat.

Good catch splitrock. I wouldn't have thought of that.
