Title: Weird Weather
Post by: colbees on November 26, 2014, 08:50:01 PM
Hi everyone, wondering whether or not to feed the bees. The temperatures have ranged from the 60's to the 20's and now today a foot of snow. Are the bees going to run out of food faster than usual with temperatures like this. Im also wondering the best system for feeding. I currently have boardman feeders. Thanks

We got 70's pretty much all week for highs. I don't know how much more of this cold weather I can stand :-D

we were down in the teens with snow. then warm, then cold, then warm. Friday & Saturday the girls were flying. yesterday it was in the 20's with sleet. I took my pups out for a romp sunday & found dandelions blooming. I was hoping that by getting my snow-caster mounted on my tractor & the dual wheels & 4 ft blade on my 2 wheeled gravely tractor that I'd whammy away any snow storms but I do not think it's going to work.

it's been a strange fall.  i was expecting it to be another cold winter (and it still could be) but so far it's not looking like it.  i saw goldenrod blooming on the side of the road in warner robins last week.

Have a stand of maples that are starting to bloom and the girls are bringing in a lot of pollen. Had a light frost last week but tee shirt and shorts this week, can't complain, beats snow.
