I think I seen this subject somewhere on this forum. This link is Alabama specific. However I'm sure most state's ag dept has one as well.

Sounds like a good opportunity for new beeks.
I looked quickly for TN, but don't see the same program.
You may want to call the apiary branch of your Agriculture Department. It could be there is one but it hasn't been put on their home page yet.
30 days notice. wow
TN by far has the best program. They give more money than Bama or MS.......

I do not have a link but you can contact >>>>>>http://www.tnbeekeepers.org/ (http://www.tnbeekeepers.org/)
There are several Bee Clubs in southwest tn depending on where you are located. Jackson, Savannah some of them are on face book etc. If you do that.... Im sure they would be glad to help you on a hive grant.
From what a friend in one of the clubs told me the State of TN covers quit a bit of cost over half if I remember correctly... ... MS has a grant but it only pays about 150.00 bucks and you must buy two hives and the Bees which is around probably 6-7 hundred bucks.
Time's a winding down..,
